Pembina partners with local, provincial/state, and national non-profit and charitable organizations that support Indigenous and Tribal communities, promote safety, equity and inclusion, and encourage a sustainable energy future:
Our goal: Communities are safe, inclusive places where all members have equitable access to opportunities, services and spaces that foster a strong sense of belonging. Thriving local economies give everyone an equitable opportunity to succeed. This includes:
- Understanding and reducing barriers that prevent diverse and inclusive local economies
- Ensuring everyone can reach their full potential through skills training and capacity building
- Developing a diverse workforce that is representative of the communities where we live and work
- Ensuring first responders, hospitals, and mental health providers have the resources they need
- Creating or renovating community spaces that are accessible for all
Our goal: Communities, government, and industry work together to protect the natural environment for future generations. Citizens benefit from a sustainability-driven economy that improves energy and environmental outcomes and contributes to local economic prosperity. This includes:
- Protecting and conserving land, water, air, and wildlife
- Ensuring communities have access to education, training, and capacity building programs focused on sustainability and the energy transition
- Supporting community energy initiatives that embody new ways of thinking about and acting on energy opportunities, including renewable energy, energy efficiency, and clean energy technologies
- Providing support to people and/or organizations leading innovative decarbonization projects and initiatives
