Taylor to Gordondale

Taylor to Gordondale

Pouce Coupé Pipe Line Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pembina and the general partner of Pembina North Limited Partnership, is proposing a new pipeline project, Taylor to Gordondale.

The proposed project includes approximately 89 kilometres of 16-inch pipeline from east of Taylor, British Columbia to the Gordondale area in Alberta and upgrades to the Taylor Tank Farm Facility, including two new electric booster pumps and two new electric mainline pumps. Our customers are looking for increased capacity to transport their products to market and the proposed project will help meet that need.

The majority of the new pipeline will parallel existing linear disturbances. The map below outlines the proposed corridor for the pipeline - temporary workspace locations have been identified and are shown on the overview map. The pipeline and associated right-of-way will be located within the corridor, which was determined through detailed engineering and engagement with Indigenous communities and stakeholders.

Application submitted

On April 23, 2024, Pouce Coupé submitted an application to the Canada Energy Regulator (CER) for the project that includes details about engineering, potential environmental and socio-economic effects, lands, engagement, and other project-related information.

The proposed project is under jurisdiction of the Canada Energy Regulator (CER) as it will cross the Alberta and British Columbia border. Pipeline construction over 40 kilometres in length within a single application requires approval by the CER under section 183 of the CER Act. Pembina's regulatory application will include extensive engineering and environmental studies, as well as an Indigenous and public engagement program to share information, gather input, and incorporate feedback. We look forward to connecting with Indigenous communities and stakeholders to gather feedback about the proposed project. For more details about the regulatory process and how you can participate, please contact the CER at [email protected], call 1-800-899-1265, or visit www.cer-rec.gc.ca.
